Yukata Boat Ride

Yukata is the summer kimono that the Japanese wear. They are made of cotton and a lot lighter than the other kimonos. Mike got a message about a yukata boat ride and what a perfect way to spend the evening, wear some outfits, and show Kara and Chris some culture. So we arrive at the meeting place and all the gaijin are dressed up in these outfits. So I thought it was going to be just our group of people, but turns out it was a whole lot of people. It was this huge boat and many different groups take the ride. We got scurried on the boat and they led us directly to the beer spouts, which we were all ok with. Some of the girls that I have met were there with their husbands, so it was a good time.

After walking up to the top of the boat deck and checking things out, we all decided that this was exactly like a frat party, just on a boat and in Japan. WHY: there was a theme, we had outfits, it was all you can drink, and there were crazy drunk people running around. Honestly, it was a lot of fun and we all enjoyed ourselves. Here is a couple of shots from the night.

View of the bridge from top of the boat.

At the end of night, great picture!
